OMAP-L137: System on module

Part Number: OMAP-L137
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAP-L138

Hi Team,

Our customer is considering OMAP-L137 processor for their application. However, he is concerned that its relatively an old device. According to our customer,

Hello, I want to build a system on module and I wonder if you can suggest what chips to look at. I would like to run likely linux or some RTOS and I need to interface the chip with RAM that accumulate data from multiple ADCs, send data to DAC, and I need the chip to do DSP (FFT). I want the chip to consume no more than 1 watt and capable of e.g. 1024-long complex FFT in under 25 us. OMAP-L137 seems to fit but I am confused by the fact that it's 20 years old. Do you have any suggestions? Would FPGA (SOC) be better?

Regards,

Danilo
