SD card to become a 2G SD card ,beacause now I insert this SD card to Window XP ,I only see this SD card is 90MB;when I insert this card to Ubuntu ,it also is
90MB .How I do can restore is to 2G.
whisky zjj,
When you use multiple partitions, the first partition, the bootable partition is in a Fat32 format which is recognized by Windows. The other two partitions are Linux formats which are not recognized by Windows. But when you install a 3 partition SD card in your Ubuntu, you should see 3 different drives pop up. The total space on the 3 drives should near, but less than 2G.
If you want 2G available, then you can reformat the SD from your Windows PC to either Fat32 or NTFS format, but then you would only have 1 partition and you would lose the capability to boot up your device with a filesystem on the SD card.
If you would like to format your card to 2 partitions, this link shows you how to do that. http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/How_to_Make_3_Partition_SD_Card#How_to_Make_2_Partition_SD_Card
Once you reformat, you lose everything on the card and need to copy the contents back.
