TDA4VM: TDA4 ISP tuning with RCCB sensor

hello, expert,

I am doing ISP tuning on TDA4 borad with SDK 7.03. The sensor I use is ar0820 with RCCB CFA pattern.

The image ouput (through DP display) doesn't has correct color with TI's default ISP parameters, and I suspect that the setting of CFA pattern doesn't match the sensor's.

How to change the CFA pattern from RGGB to RCCB? In DCC Tool's CFA plugin, I don't find where to set.

hi Mayank,

A raw image and a yuv image of color chart are uploaded in the zip file. The light source is D65.

In the yuv image, the white & grey blocks look greenish and purplish.

Could you help me check what causes this weird display?

Is this a WDR companded image? If yes, can you please share the PWL kneepoints? Please also share the black level.

I have checked the imaging and vision_apps codes, in iss_sensor_ar0820_maxim.h file, it supports ISS_SENSOR_FEATURE_COMB_COMP_WDR_MODE. And in app_single_cam_main.c, the demo app enable WDR if the senor supports it.

So, the raw image is a WDR image with 12 bit. But I'm not sure if it was companded and not sure where to check the kneepoint, do you have any advice?

I have uploaded the wdr xmls in the attached zip, could you help check whether it includes the kneepoints file?

the black level is 0.

Hi Jainxiong,

I believe you are saying that you are setting the sensor in the same way as TI SDK. But the raw image looks very strange. TI SDK has been tuned for AR0820 RCCB, so the same tuning parameters should work. I am not sure if it your lens or something else which is causing the strange colors. I suggest you working with the sensor/camera vendor to ensure that TI chip can receive a good quality raw image.
