Hi Kailash,
Which version of the DVSDK are you trying? If you are using DVSDK 4.02, then you should be able to download the installer for the DVSDK4.x platforms from http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_sb/targetcontent/dvsdk/DVSDK_4_00/latest/index_FDS.html. On Ubuntu 10.04, you should be able install the DVSDK by just running the installer or clicking on it.

Hi Kailash,
May I know which EVM kit your are using? DVSDK4.x is not shipped on a DVD but available for online download. DVSDK4.x supports TMS320DM365, TMS320DM368, OMAPL138 and TMS320DM3730. If you have anyone of these EVMs then I would recommend you download it and install it.
If you are using an older DVSDK release via DVD for an EVM other that the list above, then I'm not fully sure about the installation process. There should be documentation on DVD for it, but I'm not sure.
