TDA4VM: How MCU1_1 warm reset main domain?

Hi expert,

Our sdk is 7.3.

I follow the demo Mode Switch Application and use the interface Sciclient_pmDomainReset(DOMGRP_01, SCICLIENT_SERVICE_WAIT_FOREVER) to reset main domain.

It can't work and whole system will stuck. 

Do this function only use in MCU1_0? But i can use the interface Sciclient_pmDomainReset(DOMGRP_00, SCICLIENT_SERVICE_WAIT_FOREVER) to reset mcu and main domain.

If this solution can't work, is there any other solution to reset main domain in MCU1_1?

    Can you please share the path to Mode Switch Application in SDK which you are referring here?

    Hi,

    Sciclient_pmDomainReset() with:

    1. DOMGRP_01: Should SW reset the MAIN domain, this can cause a crash on the MCU R5F as well if there are cross domain accesses from MCU R5F. For example the MCU R5F (MCU1_0) code is accessing / running from DDR or any other MAIN domain memory.

    2. DOMGRP_00: This would issue a SW reset to the whole SoC (WKUP, MAIN and MCU domain).

    Keeping MCU1_0 out of reset and resetting the MCU1_1 is not possible using any of the above APIs.

    For resetting the MCU1_1, you can look at the SBL code, pdk/packages/ti/boot/sbl/soc/k3/sbl_slave_core_boot.c function Sciclient_pmSetModuleRst_flags(). See usage within function SBL_SlaveCoreBoot().
