We use a custom board based on the EVM reference design.
We try to boot from prebuilt Image and dtb from these SDKs: psdk linux am65xx evm 08.00.00.04, psdk linux-rt am65xx evm 08.00.00.02, psdk linux-rt am65xx evm 07.03.00.08. Same things.
We use tiboot3, tispl and u-boot compiled with usbdfu config. sysfw.itb is taken from prebuilt.

  • Hi Roman,

Can you share the complete boot logs starting from the first print of SPL. DMSC seems to be failing:

What is the difference between the TI Evaluation board & your custom board?
What is the boot mode used?

    - Keerthy

  • Thank you for your quick response!

We took wrong sysfw (for sr1). Linux is now booting with correct one, but we got another problem (on custom board):

Our boot configuration is eMMC as primary and DFU as secondary boot sources. It works fine in U-boot.
On our custom board: we removed FT4232 and overvoltage protection. We have empty serdes, csi interfaces and have some changes in the current-monitoring part. Also we use KSZ9031 PHYs instead DP83867.

We just got EVM board and we got the second problem :)
Linux boots fine on EVM but the display (on the TMDSLCD1EVM board) is too dim. We tried to change brightness in the /sys/class/backlight. Doesn't work. Prebuilt images from SDK 07 and 08 behave the same way.
Also we have some errors during linux booting:
