[FAQ] AM6254: Monitor pins

Genius 12760 points

Do the MON_1P8 3P3 ER_VSYS pins have a functional meaning or are these simply ADCs which can be read out by the CPUs for diagnostic purposes?

Regards Bernd

  • Are you asking about the pins named "VMON_1P8_SOC" and "VMON_3P3_SOC"?  If so, these pins connect to one of the internal POKs which can be setup to generate an interrupt on an under-voltage or over-voltage event. The POKs are basically a programmable comparator. The POKs were primarily added to help detect potential faults in a safety application.
