I found the same problem on AM5718.

I have a touch screen use i2c and gpio thread interrupt with low level trigger. But, the thread interrupt handler cannot be called until another interrupt occur, such as timer, serial input.

If I change the interrupt trigger to edge, it works well.

Hi,

Apologies for the long delay. Your use case needs the low level trigger or you are okay with edge triggered interrupt as well?
Can you add more details on how we can try to reproduce the issue?

Hi,

Below is the touch panel device tree. And I add printk in the driver's irq handle. Connect the oscilloscope to detect irq line. When the irq line is low. The irq handler cannot be called. If there is another interrupt such as timer, serial port at the same time, the touch irq handler can be called.

Then, I change the irq line to a gpio button. If I set the interrupt trigger is level, I cannot get interrupt. If I set it to edge trigger, the irq handler can be called correctly.

I add printk for the intterupt number in gic_handle_irq, I still cannot get interrupt. Is it the gpio hardware issue?
