The C6671,72,74,78 family of devices are P2P compatible but C6670 is not.

Hello,
I would add, C6670 is quite different beast in a sense it was designed to accelerate LTE base station processing, thus it has more value thanks to its coprocessors rather than C66x cores. One of the most important is bitrate coprocessor, but Viterbi alone, Turbo encoder/decoder may have a value too, not to forget FFT/DFT coprocessor with 2,3,5 powers. C6670 has no practical support by TI, TI's tools like modern processor SDK, and should you search for specific coprocessor IP you'll find there is no more in-house expertise, but rather 3rd party support.
So if you are in position to develop LTE base station, C6670 is still a cool thing, though be ready to purchase library implementation, as otherwise PHY processing development would take human-years amount of time to write from the scratch. If you can live without coprocessors, then you'd better keep with C6671,2,4,8, or look at K2 family.
Hi,
could you pls provide the pin difference between C6670 versus C6678?
Thanks!
Ruixon,
As far as I know, the pin difference does not exist as a ready made one. Not sure, whether you could generate one using any software etc.
Please access the product folder of C6670 and C6678 and then browse the title, " Design and development"---> "Design tools & simulation" Download and check the pin details... TMS320C6678/4/2/1 CYP OrCAD Symbols (Rev. B)

Hello,
If you think two devices are as similar as say C641x family with just few pins different, I have bad news, C6670 and rest C667x are pretty different. Take a look at 2.7 Terminal functions in C6670 manual and 2.8. Terminal functions in C6678 manual, immediately you'll see antenna interface pins, next you'll see that bootmode pins are located at different balls, and same applies to all functions - emulation, GPIO, memory. Replacing one with another is not a matter of few pins relocation.
