To whom it may concern:

I have seen the following error when I try to load a program with BIOS into a 8-core device.

The problem only occur for core4 to 8.

ti.sysbios.timers.timer64.Timer: line 558: assertion failure: A_notAvailable: static created timer not available

Can someone explain why this problem occur and how to resolve it?!

Eric,

Could you share your .cfg code that sets up the timer and also state your version of SYS/BIOS? Just to confirm, are you building for C6678?

The problem is resolved after I rebuild the project for C6678 equivalent.

Hi Eric

I meet the same problem as you. I can't load my program on core4~7 but it's OK on core0~3.

And how to know which device is the project build for, C6678 or C6674? I can not find any option in project building settings.

Hi, Liang:

Here is the procedure to select or check the build target (platform).

Right-click on your project and select "Properties"
Select General/RTSC
Check or select the desired Platform.
