Hi,
Thanks for your response.
I have found this document : http://jourdesprojets.esiee-paris.fr/wp-content/uploads/mohamad_daud_harlina_i5_se_jdp.pdf
Actually, OpenUH is an open source compiler suite for OpenMP and it's available with the Eclipse integrated development environment. So, based on this document, i think it's available with code composer Studio v4 (because it's based on eclipse too) and if so i can test OpenMP on DSP texas. Is that correct ??
Best regards,
Hi Dounia,
the document your refering to is using OpenUH that's described per link below:
http://www2.cs.uh.edu/~openuh/index.shtml
As a limitation they state:" We support three backends: IA-64, x86, and x86_64. In order to generate code for other platforms (e.g. TI's DSPs), you should follow instructions to generate optimized, but compilable, C or Fortran code with calls to our portable run-time library. It can then be compiled by a native compiler for the corresponding system"
TI announced the free multicore software developer's kit (MCSDK) at the C66X launch in November. At the time, the company said it would offer Linux development support and a suite of multicore tools and libraries, but offered few details. Now TI says the updated kit will offer the OpenMP Application Program Interface (API), making the C66x DSP family the first multicore devices to support the standard. OpenMP is a well-established portable, scalable programming model for developing parallel applications in mission critical applications.
I hope this helps ...
