C6Accel issue in WinCE SDK

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAP3530

Hello Gagan Maur, I encounter a question when I try to use C6Accel to accelerate OMAP3530 development. I use Win CE 6.0 OS.

I have installed DVSDK for Win CE.

I don't know how to integrate C6Accel into Codec Server. I just find the method that compile C6Accel under Linux OS, but there is no

material about how to use C6Accel under WinCE.

So could you tell me how to use C6Accel under WinCE OS in specific, please?

Thank you very much!

  • Hello Gagan,

    a) I have the same question. Is C6Accel supported officially on WinCE6.x? If yes are there any documentation available today?
Earlier post suggest that it was not supported last year:
    http://e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/omap_applications_processors/f/42/p/67188/243587.aspx#243587

    b) Specifically my customer tries to run an FFT on the C64x CPU of the OMAP3530 with A8 running WinCE 6.03 R3. It builds without error but when running the application he gets some CMEM related error messages:
CMEM Error: init: Failed to open CMK1: '55'
CMEM Error: Either CMEM_init() was not called, or failed. You must initialize CMEM before making CMEM API calls. If CMEM_init() was called, check     for earlier CMEM failure messages.
               apoa33: Memory_alloc() failed for pSrcBuf_16bpp
The CMEM_init() is called, but it seems that memory cannot be allocated for some reason. The error code '55' is actually generated by a CreateFile command that fails.

Can you confim if C6Accel generated application have been validated with WinCE?

    Thanks in advance,

    Anthony

  • Can you check if you followed all the steps mentioned here?
