SYS/Bios 6 PSP Support

Hi,

 

We are trying to upgrade our system to SYS/BIOS 6 and I had a few quick questions regarding compatibility with PSP drivers.

First off is there a version of PSP drivers for the DM6437 that are compatible with SYS/BIOS 6? We are currently using "pspdrivers_1_10_00" from DVSDK "dvsdk_1_11_00_00". 

If they are compatible can someone please point me in the direction of a guide on how to incorporate one into the new SYS/BIOS cfg file. A perfect example would be an I2C driver.

    Hello,

    I have the same question. I am trying to use the UART PSP driver from the same "pspdrivers_1_10_00" with CCS 4.2 SYS/BIOS 6. When it builds I get about 50 linking errors similar to the ones below. Any ideas what would cause this?

    Hi Mark,

    There are NO versions of the PSP Drivers for DM6437 that are compatible with SYS/BIOS 6.

    BenM,

    If you are using the BIOS 5, then please make sure you have installed all the tools (As mentioned in section 1.1.2 System Requirements of PSP_User_Guide) and incorporated with the pspdrivers_1_10_00. By doing so, you may not observe these errors.

    If you are using the BIOS 6, then, I have already mentioned that pspdrivers_1_10_00 is not compatible with SYS/BIOS 6. Looking at your error log, it seems like the pspdrivers_1_10_00 is unable to link with the BIOS6. For Example: BIOS6 uses Cache module and BIOS5 - BCACHE. Similar is the case with ECM and CLK. And since the module has changed, there are possibilities of getting such linking errors since pspdrivers_1_10_00 comes with BIOS 5 itself.

    Please refer BIOS5 and SYS/BIOS6 Userguides for more details regarding these modules.

    BIOSPSP for SYS/BIOS 6 is available only for C6748 device. Please refer http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/psp/BIOSPSP/index.html

    Dear Shanmuga,
    Is BIOSPSP for SYS/BIOS 6 available for OMAP-L1x device? Do you know where to download the BIOS PSP release compatible for OMAP-L13x with SYS/BIOS 6.x? Because I need use the sata disk in OMAP-L138 and I really need it eagerly.
