Dear All,

 

For our application, I have to interface the PPI bus of Blackfin to the DaVinci DM6437. The data on the PPI (8 bit Parallel) will conform to BT.656 (Y Cb Cr) and will be encoded in the H.264 format.

The basic question is :: Which interface can I use? HPI, GPIO or any other.

The data will be coming in at 30fps with a resolution of 720 x 576.

    The parallel interface of HPI is suited for this use case.

    Hello all,

    With reference to the same answer, I am using TMS320DM6441 for my project and need to use HPI with Linux. Are the HPI driver module available with Linux support package from TI (also known as platform support package). If not, please mention any internal updates of any activity on host processor interface driver module development on DM6441. Also, please suggest any alternate place which provides HPI module.

    Inputs from anyone is welcome. Thanks in advance.
