TDA4VM: LINUX TIDSS remote display

Part Number: TDA4VM

Hi team,

Here's an issue from the customer may need your help:

Customers are currently considering running linux on the A72 side and using QT for meter display. They have noticed that the dispc-related drivers are on the R5F side, see 3.2.2.4.5.2. Display Sharing Configuration Options: The Linux side needs to use resources such as the corresponding hardware pipeline overlay via remote display.

However, the settings in the dts are not seen in ti-processor-sdk-linux-j7-evm-08_00_00_08. So they would like to know more about how to modify or use the specified pipeline and overlay resources for the linux side.

1. is the above understanding correct?

2, the linux side uses two pipeline (vide1 and vidil2) to stream these two videos to the RTOS side and one pipeline vide2 on the RTOS side. Is it possible for a total of three pipeline to be stacked on overlay2 and output through VP2, or must it be done with remote display?

Could you help check this case? Thanks.

Best Regards,

Cherry
