Hi Champs,
looks like gstreamer does not support video encoding yet. When is that planned?
Do we plan to write on OVX-kernel so that video encoding can be used in an OpenVX graph?
Thanks and kind regards,

Hi,
Video encode/decode will be supported as V4L2 driver, so i think it should be possible to either integrate it with the OpenVX application or even have OpenVX node on top of it.
We are still looking into how to integrate V4L2 encode/decode with the OpenVX application.

Hi,
I think encode and decode based on V4L2 are already part of the SDK8.1 release.
Please refer to the roadmap slides for more information.

Hi,
Confirmed with the team that gStreamer plugin for encode & decode is supported in sdk8.1 release.
We can check it by running
You can check by running
gst-inspect-1.0 | grep "v4l2"
