1.Advisory 1.1.17 in the Errata for TMS320C6A8168 mentions to use NAND flash that need 8-bit or 16-bit ECC.
Looking at the schematic, it seems EVM uses NAND flash having part number MT29F2G16AADWP:D. In the datasheet of the flash part I could not find any details on the number of bit ECC supported. Please clarify whether the NAND flash part on the EVM supports 8-bit or 16-bit ECC?
Could anyone suggest the NAND flash part supporting 8-bit or 16-bit ECC?
2. EVM uses MSP430 for current measurements on supply rails. Are there any current measurements made ?
In our design we are planning to remove MSP430 and associated circuit used for current measurement. Please let me know whether MSP430 is used for any other purpose that current measurement on supply rails.
