about emulation window

hi

we r trying to connect dm365 board to the ubuntu 10.04 we have configured minicom as desired 

but the problem is that no terminal emulation window (evm#)is coming we have searched all the document but nothing explained

anyone can help over this .if there r some commands for this then please give the link or commands itself

    its not possible for me to send screenshots but  i am sending u link from where i had started

    in this TESTING THE SHARED FILESYSTEM we r not getting any emulation window after configuring minicom also
