Hello Marc,
I am bit confused. Does SDK support 7" LCD that come with the EVM package? What type of interface is used for the connecting LCD (available with the EVM package) to the processor?
In our design we will use indepedent resistive touch screen controller which will be interfaced to processor C6A8168 via SPI.
Regards,
Mahesh Shinde
Mahesh,
Sorry for the confusion. Currently the 7" LCD is only used as an HDMI monitor, so it is only connected to the EVM through an HDMI cable to the HDMI connector on the EVM. The touch screen capability of the monitor is not used. The USB mouse can be connected to the EVM if you want to select the various demos that are available in the matrix gui demo of the SDK.
Regards,
Marc
Thanks Marc,
Could you provide me part number of the LCD available with EVM?
On the touch screen interface: Could you let me know the available interface on the EVM board for connecting the touch screen provided with EVM?
I believe the touch screen provided is 4 wire resistive type, is this correct?
Regards,
Mahesh Shinde
Mahesh,
I don't have one of these monitors, so I don't know the part number or any deatils about it. The information might be on the Spectrum Digital website, or you could contact them for this information.
The ONLY connection between the LCD and the EVM is the HDMI cable.

Marc
