J721EXSOMXEVM: Simple PCIe question

I have what I believe to be a simple question. I have the brand new EVM mentioned and I am running the software that came in the box with the SOM. My simple question is, should I expect a PCIe card plugged into one of the PCIe connectors on the platform to be listed by the 'lspci' command in linux? I'm asking because no PCIe cards I've plugged in are listed.

Hi Mike,

I'm not sure about the software that came with the box, it is likely that we may need to upgrade to the latest SDK to verify this.

The general recommendation would be to prepare an SD card with the latest Linux SDK.

The SDK is downloadable from here: www.ti.com/.../PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-J721E

Please try with this and update your results.

Exact same issue. Nothing plugged into any PCIe slot is listed by 'lspci'. An M2 SSD device plugged into the slot on the back of the EVM does not show up as any entry in /dev. The only thing "lspci' shows are the PCIe root complex devices. I've tried switching SW3-5 and SW3-6 and nothing changes.

Oh, SDK version I am using is 08_01_00_07 (latest).

I replaced the PCIe card I was trying to use with a cheap 82574 network adapter and that is enumerated on the PCIe bus and appears to work.
