About AM4378HS and AM4378 pinout differences

we must use the AM4378HS processor in some boards for a new project.

By reading the PDF: "AM437x Sitara Processors datasheet (Rev. E).pdf", we have seen that the only difference between AM4378 and AM4378HS should be the VPP pin (P21).

However, if we use the "TI PinMux Tool 4.0.1543" software, other differences appear that are not documented in the datasheet.

Is it is a TI PinMux bug?

Are there differences between AM4378HS and AM4378 pinout?

If there were differences, are there any documentation related to these differences?

I believe there should be no pin differences between these parts.

I'll check on the pinmux tool implementation.

Looks like the pinmux tool for AM427xHS has an issues and has incorrectly removed some ball functions.

I suggest you use the AM437x device going forward.

We will address the issue in the next release.
