AM6442: SD card decection without "Card Detect" pin

Hello,

I work with a custom board with AM64 processor. This board has an SD card on MMC1 without Card Detect pin.

AM64 reference manual explains that for boot, Card Detect using DAT3 is not supported.

My question : is it possible to boot on SD card without Card Detect pin ? something like an "always connected" mode ?

The ROM code team has confirmed they check the card detect input and will not boot from the SD Card if a card is not detected. Therefore, your product needs to use a SD Card connector with a card detect switch to properly indicate when a card is inserted in the connector.
