Hello,

 

We are planning to buy an "AM3517 EVM Development Kit" and there is an information that I can not find in the documentation: is NOR flash mounted on the application board of the kit or not?

 

I have seen on the internet (http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/AM35x-NOR-Flash-Support-ApplicationNote) that the reference PC28F640P30B85 of NOR flash is mounted on the application board: is that correct?

 

Could anyone help me with that?

    Benoit:

    The AM3517 application board from LogicPD has the following NOR flash device:

    IC, STRATAFLASH, X16, 64MBIT, 8MB, FBGA Intel PC28F640P30B85

    Dipswitch S11 switch #3 on application board can set NOR to use GPMC_nCS0

    for boot or GPMC_nCS2 for data use.

    Need to program NOR flash using u-boot as specified in wiki article.
