TDA4VM: About the Processor SDK Linux for Edge AI

I am reading the Processor SDK Linux for Edge AI Getting started page and I have a punctual question:

Is this Yocto Linux? Is this Arago?

In the "running simple demos" page in the last line it says that 'the C++ apps built on Yocto linux may not run in docker" so it seems that it is Yocto Linux indeed.

Can someone clarify this for me?

Hi David,

The Linux distro used for the Edge AI SDK is Arago, which is a distro made by TI using the Yocto Project. Yocto is not a Linux distro, but a set of projects that can be used to create custom Linux distro. So the term Arago and Yocto are used interchangeably within our documentation, which may be confusing.

Thanks for the reply. So is the Processor SDK Linux for Edge AI another name for the Arago distribution you are using?

Processor SDK Linux for Edge AI is running the Arago distro through PSDK-Linux (blue in below picture), but as the document shows there are other components running underneath and above Arago.
