TDA4VM: 8GB LPDDR4 Support

Part Number: TDA4VM

Hi,

It said that TDA4VM DDRSS0 support SDRAM address range up to 8 GB.

But it said that it supports 32 Gb of LPDDR4 SDRAM with 4266MTs data rate from PDN-0C(SLVUC99A.PDF).

Is there anything wrong with PDN-0C documentation?

  • Hi Gary,

This thread was assigned to me (for TDA4VM DDR support), but I am not familiar with the SLVUC99A application note and cannot comment whether there is anything wrong with the document. Since I do not know the history of the bullet point in SLVUC99A, I will try to find the right owner to comment.

However, I can confirm that TDA4VM supports up to 8GB of LP4 DDR memory. Let us know if that is the main concern.

    Regards,
    Kevin

  • Gary,  This is a PMIC appnote.  I would interpret that as the PMIC could in theory support higher power external DDR components.  I would not interpret that as what the SoC supports.
