Yep - I'm of course new to SYS/BIOS and am trying to take some of my BIOS5 labs from the BIOS workshop and convert them to SYS/BIOS.

I built a new project and selected EVM6748 platform. Now, I'd like to modify the memory areas and sections and other platform settings. How do you access it via CCSv4 ?

Hey Eric,

I'm in this DSP/Bios class right now, and we just figured out that you can do this by doing (within CCS)

File->New->Other

In the list of Wizards, open the RTSC wizards folder and Select Edit/View RTSC platform. Then specify your platform repository and EVM name and Core and a dialog where you can change the values will open up.

Thanks Dan. That gets me half way there. I can view the platform file, but I want to MODIFY it and save it as a new name. Do you make a copy in windows explorer first, then open that one? Or, can you modify the SEED platform file and do a "save as"? I think I will need a custom platform file for each lab and I don't want to modify the SEED platform file in the xdc dir.

Ok, then how about this.

Similar instructions....

File->New->Other

Select New RTSC Platform

Give your board a new name, device family, and device name (e.g. C6000, TMS320C6748), and click next.

When you get to the next page, click the Import button, and select the platform you want (e.g. ti.platforms.evm6748). All of the settings for that preconfigured file will be imported.

Make the changes you want.

Click Finish.
