Display problem

Hello everyone,

I have the DM6446 DV EVM kit .My senior configured it to our application requirement.

I followed the instructions given by him.

Connect the EVM board with LCD and linux machine.

After making connections LCD displayed the ti logo in the left most corner on the blue screen.

Then i gave some commands on the minicom to run some user threads..

Minicom shows that threads are running and should be display some videos on the LCD.

but LCD is not showing any thing except that blue screen.

Can anyone suggest where i am wrong???

use following commands to turn off bitmap windows.

cat /dev/zero > /dev/fb0

cat /dev/zero > /dev/fb2

Blue screen will go away. Then try your applications.

I establish the connection of EVM board with the linux machine.

Then through minicom i wrote the commands given by you on the EVM board.

Then it shows the error message : no space left in the device.

and blue screen is not disappear.

Now what should i do ???

If its FRAME BUFFER window, above commands should do the needful. Can you please send me screen-shots. Let me understand what blue screen you are observing.

it is simply LCD screen.........when the LCD is just turned on it show ti company.'s logo in the leftmost corner in the blue screen.

I am observing that screen..

Hi ,

We are working on the same DM6446 EVM board. I asked in some other post but no one is reply us. i expect for you as soon as posible.

my work is to display a logo on the screen when board gets switch on . for this i used to enable logo option in linux kernel .I am able to see a logo of motavista ,with blue colour background and some white colour bars(this bars are occupies hole the screen except at logo place ). I also tried to disable the osd layer its working fine but in application we used osd layer so we need it.

Not only this we need some help on application level please can you share some documents make it success.
