DM365 problem of DVSDK_4.0.0_#######_linuxsetup

I am the beginner of using DM365, today I got a projet which wants me to make a H.264 decoder, the first stape is to establish a software environement. But when I tried to install DVSDK_4.0.0_###_###_##_linuxsetup, the process of installation stop at a windows without a bouton "Next", my version of ubuntu is 11.04, if someone have already solved this problem, just help me a little, thank you very much.

Hi Mingming,

in the release notes is written, you have to use Ubuntu 10.04 only.

Maybe the DVSDK isn't compatible to your Ubuntu (11.04).

Try installing it in Ubuntu 10.04.

See this to install DVSDK 4.x on unsupported host http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/DVSDK_4.x_FAQ#How_to_install_DVSDK_4.01_on_unsupported_host

But i would still recommend using supported host for development.

Hello,

I had problems on Ubuntu 10.10 and I can install using --forcehost and --mode console on command line.

./dvsdk_dm365-evm_4_00_00_22_setuplinux --forcehost --mode console --prefix /home/user/dvsdk4

Maybe this can help you too...
