TDA4VM: How to get reboot reason

Hello TI,

We now develop at tda4 evm SOC.

I want to clearly SW reboot or partitial reboot, or other internal rebootreason, and I hope I can get the rebootreason in A72.

So my question is that, is there a way to get SOC reboot reason, by read pmic register or call internal interface?

Hi,

You can read the register CTRLMMR_WKUP_RESET_SRC_STAT to get the reset reason.

The description on the register can be found in the TRM section 5.1.1.4.12 CTRLMMR_WKUP_RESET_SRC_STAT Register.

ok, thank you. In A72 bootloader, is there a API for read the reset reason?

And for DBUGSS_RST, what it is used for? Can I set this bit?

Hi,

If you are running Linux on A72 you can use devmem2 to directly read the register. Or if you have a debugger connected you can use that to read the register.

The CTRLMMR_WKUP_RESET_SRC_STAT register is meant to be set by HW you should not set these bits. If you write to this bit, it is meant to clear the bit.
