Dear expert,

When we run memtester at low temperature, we found that the test of walking one failed.

The log is like "64FAILURE: 0x7fffffff7fffffff != 0x7fffffffffffffff at offset 0x07cd5990".

This test pattern that we think DBI can help, but when we enable DBI in config tool, TDA4 could boot success.

How can we enable DBI in TDA4VM? And this problem is related to the temperature, we want to enable DRAM temperature polling，could you give me some guidance?

Hi,

Can you confirm that when you enabled DBI, TDA4 could NOT boot successfully? If so, which DBI did you enable (write or read)? If you enabled both, can you try enabling one at a time to see which one is causing the issue? If you enabled read, can you confirm that you increased the read latency accordingly per the DRAM datasheet requirement?

Regarding DRAM temperature polling, I am not sure this would be related to your issue since refresh rates are often relaxed at cold temperature (and refreshing more often than required should not cause failures). DRAM temperature polling can be enabled through the XLS tool; however, you would need to implement an ISR in your application code for the refresh rate to actually update (there is an example ISR included in the RTOS SDK, but this is not a default feature).

Hi, Kevin,

I have tried enabling one at a time, I found the read is the cause of boot failure. I increased the read latency when i enable DBI read.

Hi Nathan,

The XLS shows the frequency set to -4266 data rate, but the read latency is set to 32. This does not seem correct. Can you confirm the settings which are being used?

Sorry, I uploaded a wrong file，this new XLS is what we are using.But the TDA4VM could't boot after I enable DBI Read and change RL from 32 to 36.If i disable DBI Read and change RL from 36 to 32, the TDA4VM is OK. Could you help us to check the configuration about DBI Read?
