How to write a new driver for omap3 board

Hello,

we are using TI OMAP3 board and its Android software stack to provide a mobile handset solution to our client.

Our hardware team has modified certain hardware components e.g. accelerometer and proximity sensor.

and we are supposed to write driver for them. I have investigated a lot but not able to figure out that after writing

the linux kernel driver how it is registered in the android system. which all steps are required, so that driver's

functionality is accessible by android applications.

If anyone can provide me some documentation on how to add a new driver on OMAP3 architecture then it will be

of great help.

Thanks & Regards

Vijay Kumar
