AM5708: PCIe Refclk architecture

Hi,

We are using AM5708BCBDJA as a PCIe end point. Our main processor(Root complex) is from another board and is giving Refclk of 100MHz.

says that "A Common Refclk Rx Architecture is required to be used for the device PCIe interface" (pg: 381)  Does that mean the Root complex and AM5708 should have common 100MHz clock or can i generate 100MHz using oscillator locally and provide it to AM5708?
