DM365 GIO81 (OSCCFG)

I have a customer asking the following question.  I was not able to find the answer in the TI datasheet.

It appears that I have inadverntantly left GIO81 (OSCCFG) floating in our design.  Since this is used at start-up as the oscillator config input, can you tell me what the possible consequences are of leaving this floating instead of pulling up or down?  Will it choose one or the other (15-35MHz or 30-40MHz mode) based on the floating value?  And if it chooses the wrong state, what happens?

  • This pin is sensed during reset.  If for some reason it's at logic level 1 then it may assume the operation frequency is 30-40Mhz.

I’m not sure if this will affect the clock signal from MXO1.  Can they at least try to pull the pin down to be certain that this it not the issue?
