Part Number: AM4378
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM5728

Hi Support Team,

My customer is using AM437x series.
My customer asked the following question,
but this errata is for AM5728 and does not apply to AM437x series, right?

Q. In AM5728, the errata (i863) mentions PU/PD conflict when using eMMC,
and I confirmed that the limit of 200 hours is mentioned here. is the same condition for AM437x?

  • This advisory is describing the same concern being discussing in your other E2E thread. However, there was never any analysis done on AM437x to determine the maximum exposure time.

AM437x is built using a older technology node with larger device feature geometries. The IO design team felt the risk was much lower on IOs used in AM437x since the current density within the input buffer was much lower. However, products should be designed to minimize the the exposure time to reduce the risk of this creating a long-term reliability problem.
