AM3354: 1G PHY solution for AM3354

Hello Jason,

AM335x has two networking interface options: the CPSW, and PRU Ethernet. PRU Ethernet on AM335x can only go up to 100Mbit throughput, and AM3351, 2, and 4 do not have PRU-ICSS. So the customer would be looking at the CPSW.

The datasheet device comparison table indicates that AM3354 has EMAC at 10/100/1000 link speeds (through CPSW). Since AM3354 ARM core can run at 1000MHz, I would expect the OS running on the ARM core to not limit the CPSW performance. So gigabit link speeds should be possible.

Or are you asking for a specific PHY recommendation? if so, I will send your thread to the PHY team to comment.
