ti-cgt-arm compile option confirm

Hi,

I am using the compiler version is ti-cgt-arm_20.2.0.LTS and the SDK version is ti-processor-sdk-rtos-j721e-evm-07_03_00_07.

when I compiler a project I get an error, show below, but this file hw_types.h look ok

Then I added the --asm_listing compile option, then it compiles successfully, But it will generate a file.lst file for each compiled file, what is the purpose of this file.lst file? Is it possible to disable the generation of these files?

Hi Da,

Can you please mention what example are you trying to build from PDK or if it is a custom example, can you please provide a way to reproduce this issue on our end?

This is a demo project I made by myself, it does not belong to PDK.So you know how not to generate the file. lst file?

These ,lst files are generating due to use of --asm_listing option.

Section 5.10 The __asm Statement of TI CGT User guide states "The alternate keyword, "asm", may also be used except in strict ANSI C mode. It is available in relaxed C and C++ modes."

Can you please confirm if your configuration is set to relaxed mode and not the strict ANSI C mode?

This is my compiler option, and I don't understand what is relaxed mode and strict ANSI C mode. so what should I do can set to the relaxed mode?

It appears those lines are from a custom makefile. That being the case, we are unable to help you change it. To learn about the details of the compiler options, please search for them in the TI ARM compiler manual.

Hi Da,

Can you try using "__asm" in place of "asm" and see if it works for you without using --asm_listing option?
