DVSDK4 DVI output

Hello,

We are using Mistral OMAP35x EVM and latest DVSDK4 release. A full 1080p 24inch Monitor is connected to the board through DVI. Is it supported now that a full (1920×1080) resolution output can be made e.g. by frame buffer? (we tried different bootargs passing to the kernel but it didn't work out). It would be great to have some advice on it. Our purpose is to have this for a demo show.

Thanks a lot!

  • Hi Sheng,

I do not think OMAP35x is capable of driving full 1080P HD resolution, due to pixel clock limitation. The maximum pixel clock supported with OMAP35x is 75MHz. Also from software perspective currently with Linux PSP release maximum we have validated 720P@60 resolution.

    Thanks,

    Vaibhav
