Hi:

I have update the EB MCAL CDDIPC plugins by MCUSW_01_03_04_01_CONFIG-windows-installer.exe.

However,the selection CDD_IPC_CORE_MPU1_0 in CddIpcCommChs->RemoteProcID is deleted.Is there any other plan for communication from MCU1_0 to MPU1_0?

Or is it supported in MCAL8.2?

Hello,

The support for the MPU as a remote core has been deprecated since SDK 8.0, hence the removal of the configuration option. It is not supported in the MCAL for SDK 8.2.

Hello,

You can still use the MPU as a remote core, however, it is not supported in MCAL.

Hello,

One more note, the IPC can be used using Linux on the MPU, since FreeRTOS does not have support for the MPU in SDK 8.1/8.2.

Hi, Erick,

As customer needs to use CDD IPC on R5F, and communicate with A72 which is running HLOS, I have tried to modify related code in SDK 8.1, compared to SDK 7.3, to enable CddIpcRProcLinux demo. It seems CDD IPC demo running on mcu2_1 can work with rpmsg_client_sample from Linux filesystem on A72. Please help to confirm whether this is a feasible workaround. Thanks.

The modification includes:

Change CDD IPC driver code for receive ISR
Change EB generated MCAL configuration code for A72
Modify legacy TI pragma to adapt CLANG
