TDA4VM: YUV image is gray scale

Hi, Gang

Now I have successfully brought up OVX3C sensor on TDA4 board with sdk 7.03.

To specify the CFA pattern, I used the tool "default_DCC_profile_gen" (path: imaging/tools) to generate default xmls files, and then generate .h files.

As a result, the raw image looks correct, but the YUV out put is gray scale image with no color.

Do you know why this happens and how to get colored image through YUV output?

Hi Jianxiong,

The " "default_DCC_profile_gen" generates gray output YUV images.

For further tuning, you will need to use the tuning tool to generate the correct CFAI configuration for your image sensor color pattern.

Hi Gang,

I have used the tool to generate correct CFAI configuration, and I can get correcct row image (please see above raw image), but the YUV output is incorrect.

I want to know which xmls file leads to the gray output, so that I can conduct further tunning.

How to get color image output instead of gray images based on the xml files by "default_DCC_profile_gen" tool?

It is the "xxx_cfa_dcc.xml" file.

You will need to use the "CFA + WDR" plugin in tuning tool to generate proper CFAI parameters for your sensor color format.

In xxx_cfa_dcc.xml file, do you know what the parameters "Rh, RV, RN, Gh, GV, GN, BH, BV, BN, Dummy" mean? I‘m confused about the matrix.
