Hi Team，

The following errors occurred when porting linux-rt-4.1 to am437x EVM startup

1. Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 85000000

2. Initrd: 0x86400000 + 0x00a00000 is not a memory region - disabling initrd 86400000 is my root file system load address 0x00a00000 is size

Hi,

Could you provide details on the SDK version that you are using? Please describe the port steps that have been done.

This boot log is showing problems right away, I don't see the kernel command line so I don't know what u-boot is telling the kernel. Please describe the boot flow as well.

Have you tried your ported kernel on a TI EVM?

we noticed this thread is still open. Are you still blocked by this issue? If so, can you please provide a complete boot log (that includes U-Boot), and also do a print of the U-Boot environment ("env print", entered from the U-Boot command prompt).

I cannot provide any further guidance on the specific issue without the details that were requested.

However I see the client is trying to migrate to Kernel v4.1. What they could do instead is simply using our latest AM437x SDK available at https://www.ti.com/tool/PROCESSOR-SDK-AM437X, as it comes with Kernel v5.4 and is fully qualified/tested on the AM437x platform.
