Question for DSP

Dear Engineer

This is Lion Nam from South Korea.

I work for sub disty of TI Korea.

Actually I want to design DSP of TI for my customer.

So if possible, could you please recommand suitable DSP part #?

The target application and competitor's information are as below.

Application: Digital Telephone(Video phone)

Competitor part: DE56300AA3CLC or DE56300AA4CLC (Mfg is DSP group)

I've just checked with customer regarding your question.

I describe thier answer and question.

1.Video Codec Support:

Answer: Option funtion

Question:

1)Is there support for CAT-iq?

2)How many frame transmit per second by wireless?

2.Voice Codec Support:

Answer: Yes. They must need this funtion.

3.Display requirements:

Answer: They need this function for Color TFT LCD.

4.VOIP requirements:

Answer: Option function

Summary:

They said that No 2 & No 3 is basic function, but No 1 & No 4 case, it is option funtion.

If possible, could you recommend two kind of DSP such as DSP1(For No 2,3) and DSP2 (For No 1,2,3,4)

Does anyone can help my above issue?

I really want to design DSP of TI instead of competitor.

I have to meet with customer tomorrow. However I don't have any information for customer.

Please consider looking at our OMAP L138 device.

We don't support a full software solution for what you require, but the OMAP L138, along with the DECT chipset (for CAT-iq),

You'll be required to

1) ) integrate TI’s voice codec s/w into your software

2) Provide new h/w and s/w development to interface with the DECT chipset.

3) s/w development to send voice/receive data over wi-fi
