AMIC110: The leakage current of USB VBUS signal

Part Number: AMIC110

Hi

The leakage current for USB DRVVBUS are described at the chapter5.7 in https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/amic110.pdf (page80~81).

However, I cannot find it for USB VBUS.

Customer are asking the leakage current to USB VBUS. Please let them know it?

  • The VBUS pin is implemented in the USB analog PHY, which was designed to be compliant to the USB specification. Therefore, input leakage current associated with the VBUS pin is not a parameter that has been explicitly defined in the datasheet. Please refer to the USB specification for all details related to VBUS.

I do not have a specific value, but the input leakage current is low enough that a 1k ohm series resistor can be inserted in the VBUS signal path and the device will still be  compliant to the USB specification.

    Regards,
    Paul
