TDA4VM: How to enable MAIN MCAN for linux?

Part Number: TDA4VM

Hi TI,

I am using PSDK 7.3 Linux with TDA4vm/J72EXCPXEVM.

I want to use main_mcan0/2 instead of mcu_man0/1 on Linux. But it was disabled in dts/dtis.

Could you please send me a guide on how to enable MAIN_MCAN0 and MAIN_MCAN1 in the device tree?

Regards.

  • Hi,

Can you please use the attached patch to enable main_mcan0 and main_mcan1 from Linux.

When using this, please make sure that no other core is already trying to enable these two mcan instances.

  • Hi Karan.

    Thanks for your quick reply.

We tested main_mcan0 and main_mcan2 with your patch and it works without any problems.
