I'm new to DSP devices from Texas Instruments. I want to use the DSP TMS320VC5501. I have read some of the datasheet, but I don't understand some things.

I understand that the program memory is ROM, it means that don't have a reprogrammable FLASH memory.

So how can I re-programing the device again?

Fabian,

A slight confusion, maybe our documentation is not clear enough. There is an embedded ROM on the device, but it is not intended that customers would use it. This app note (http://www-s.ti.com/sc/techlit/spra911) in section 1. describes the content of the embedded ROM. TI's expectation is that customers will store program in external flash or download at boot time from an external host. This app note describes the different boot scenarios that are supported.
