TMS320C6657: About the boot speed comparation between NAND flash and NOR flash if using the same flash chips as the EVM6657 board used?

I wonder theoritically which flash boots faster if NAND flash or NOR flash are used as direct boot device without IBL?
Of course,the same chips as the EVM6657 board used are applied to boot C6657.

    Of course,the same chips as the EVM6657 board used are applied to boot C6657.

    Without IBL, theoretically, NAND flash will be the faster one than the NOR FLASH. Because, the NAND is interfaced through EMIF 16 and the NOR is through the SPI. 

    You can literally imagine the speed difference between the serial transfer ( SPI- NOR) and the parallel transfer (EMIF-NAND).

    Additionally, that's why the IBL plays a vital role in configuring the PLL clock to speed up the peripherals such as NOR,NAND etc...
