IPNC image tuning tool problem

I tried to use Image Tuning Tools (in APPRO IPNC 2.x) for IPNC DM368. And after using this tool, I made  IMG_Paramset.bin(binary file) under /mnt/nand in filesystem.

But I don't know that how to execute the  IMG_Paramset.bin

And another problem, Is this tool really necessary for improving image quality on IPNC? Is it really good?

Please help me....

Regards,

bo-chan,kim

  • Hello Kim,

I have never used this tool. As far as I know, IMG_Paramset.bin is a file that contains data, and it is not an executable. This file is used by the IPNC SW at boot time. When it exists, the IPNC SW will read it, and map the values stored inside into the corresponding structures, so that the parameters are preset (this happens during boot time). When not existing, the SW defaults all parameters to zero.

You may also use the web server on the camera (192.168.1.168 by default) to modify the default parameter set. I believe that the Image Tuning Tools makes it possible to control more parameters than allowed with the web server.

    I hope this helps

  • Hello Guillaume,

    I solve the problem.

When IMG_Paramset.bin is exists, the IPNC SW read it.  But,  the new parameters is not applied to the IPCN camera.

So I modify image_tune source code.

    Thank you for your help.
