Error on link Emulator and Target Board

Hello,

I am a starter on TI' DSP. And i use xds510usb + dec5502 under ccs3.3. Unfortunately, it is still disconnected between my xds510usb + dec5502 and ccs3.3. There displayed as '' error code -172'', after retry, displayed as '' error code -121''.

And i post my application environment as below:

1） ccs3.3.38.2
2） integrated development：5.98.0.219
3） Emulator i/o port： 0x240
4） JTAG tclk frequency： above 5 Mhz
5） TMS/TDO out timing： falling edge is JTAG standard
6） xds510usb under usb20emurst reset：OK
7） dec5502 set gpio（2：0）=0

Could you help me to diagnostic where may be wrong for failure connect?

Thank you for providing the environment information, as this helps in understanding your setup.

If I understand correctly, you are using the Spectrum Digital XDS510USB emulator and connecting to a C5502 board. However, when launch CCS, it is not actually connecting to the emulator/target.
The clue for me is item #3. The Emulator I/O port for the XDS510USB should be 0x510, not 0x240. The I/O port of 0x240 is the XDS510 ISA based plug-in card used with PCs that still have the ISA expansion bus.
The XDS510USB I/O port of 0x510 should be used. This tells me that you should select a different board configuration or create one in the Code Composer Studio setup utility that uses the xds510usb emulator, not the TI XDS510 Emulator.
