We need a board that can take in streamed video in a transport stream over Ethernet and present it to a screen. It looks like the DM6437 Digital Video Development Platform would meet our needs.
However, I wonder if anybody would be able to clarify the following:
(1) http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/tmdsvdp6437.html#Technical Documents states that demo codecs are available: What does this mean? Are they fully functional codecs intended for demo or are they demo in the sense that they have a watermark or some other limitation?
(2) http://focus.ti.com/dsp/docs/dspfindtoolswbytooltype.tsp?sectionId=3&tabId=1460&toolTypeId=65&familyId=44 does not list any codecs for the DM643x so I am confused because (1) suggests that codecs are available.
(3) Will this board ‘play with’ CCS 3.3 over JTAG if necessary?
(4) I wish to clarify that I can use DSP/BIOS 5.33.06 and NDK 2.0.0 with this board?
(5) Do the DM6437 NSP drivers exist?
(6) How do we connect the BNC DAC outputs to a ‘normal’ PC monitor old-fashioned VGA connector (the old 15 pin ones). Is it as simple as making up a cable or do we need some hardware? (Perhaps a silly question, but I'm guessing it would be a case of a 3 RCA to VGA cable)
