Hello

My AM3352 board fail to boot from SD card.

The hardware environment of the my AM3352 board is shown below.

1. MPU: AM3352BZCZ100

2. PMIC: TPS65218D0

3. DDR3L: MT41K256M16TW-107

4. eMMC: KLM8G1GETF-B041

( AM335x + TPS65218D0 hardware reference design referenced. ( TIDA-050xxx_BBB-refresh_RevE2.zip )

1) My SYSBOOT Configuraition

SYSBOOT[4:0] = 11000b (SPI0/MMC0/USB0/UART0)

1) When booting without SD card inserted, "cccccccccc" is output from uart1.

2) When the SD card containing the boot image is inserted and booted, nothing is output from uart1.

(1) All Area ( CMD datum are repetitive )

(2) A different part from the normal board

2) MYiR MYC-C3354-4E512D-80-I-GW board normally boots from SD card.

(1) All Area

(2) A normal part

The waveform captured by the logic analyzer is attached.

Hi David,
Please refer to the below link for general board bring-up tips:
software-dl.ti.com/.../U-Boot.html
where some import steps is to verify followings via either (1) JTAG debugger or (2) early printf in SPL
- all HW configuration (PMIC, DPLL, DDR) are all set-up and called correctly
- DDR memory can be accessed successfully after sdram_init() call

I first discovered that the oscilloscope waveform of MMC0_CMD of My AM3352 board and MYiR MYC-C3354-4E512D-80-I-GW board was strange as below.

The orange waveform is a normal waveform and the yellow waveform is a abnormal waveform.

If you enlarge the waveform in the second picture below, you can see that there is a delay.

I'm not sure why this delay occurs.

As noted in the link, one of options is to use JTAG debugger to help new board bring-up.

Hi Hong.

They did try to access SPL with JTAG. I got response from them the ddr_init has been failed. Unable to proceed the next steps.

Do you have any idea for fixing the trouble.
