TDA4VM: DSS in TDM

Hi,

Can the DSS run in Time division multiplexing like VPAC to accomodate more than 4 displays using the same 4 Video Pipelines inside DSS?

i.e Lets I do 2 displays in 1 cycles and 4 displays in the next cycle. @(30-60 fps)

Hi Dinesh,

No, DSS cannot run in TDM mode for the multiple displays.

Hi Dinesh,

This TDM is for sending pixel data over multiple bit interface, not for multiple displays. Lets says instead of sending YUV422 over 16bit interface, it can be used to send it over 8bit interface using 2 clock cycles..
